EN 50264-1 Railway applications-Railway rolling stock power and control cables having special fire performance-Part 1: General requirements.

 

Flame propagation (flame spread)-bunched cables

Cable with diameter more than or equal to 12mm

The completed cable shall be tested in accordance with EN 50266-2-4, and shall conform to the recommended performance requirements given in annex B of that standard.

Cables with diameter greater than 6mm and less than 12mm

The completed cables shall be tested in accordance with 9.1.1 of EN50305.

Cable with diameter not greater than 6mm

The completed cables shall be tested in accordance with 9.1.2 of EN50305

 

Smoke emission

The completed cable shall be tested in accordance with EN 50268-2

The percentage light transmittance, measured in accordance with the procedures specified in EN50268-2, shall be not less than the following values for the hazard levels given in EN45545-1:

Toxicity

The component parts of the cable shall be tested in accordance with 9.2 of EN 50305
