EN 13501-1:2007+A1:2009 Classification using data from reaction to fire tests

 

1. Standard - EN 13501-1:2007+A1:2009

 EN 13501-1:2007A1+2010 Fire classification of construction products and building elements-Part 1: Classification using data from reaction to fire tests.

EN 13501-1 according to requirements and test results, divided into seven levels: A1, A2, B, C, D, E, F

EN13501-1 related standard:

EN ISO 1182: non –combustibility test

EN ISO 1716: heat of combustion test

EN 13823: single burning item test

EN ISO 9239-1: determination of the burning behaviour of floorings, using a radiant heat source

EN ISO 11925-2: ignitability test

3. Test method and classification

 

3.1 Classes of reaction to fire performance for construction products excluding floorings

Class A1: According to EN ISO 1182 and ISO EN 1716; meet to the standards.

Class A2: According to EN ISO 1182EN ISO 1716 and EN ISO 13823; meet to the standards.

Class BCD: According to ISO EN 13823EN ISO 11925-2; meet to the standards.

Class E: According to EN ISO 11925-2; meet to the standards.

Class F: According to EN ISO 11925-2; fail to the standards.

 

3.2 Classes of reaction to fire performance for floorings

Class AFL1: According to EN ISO 1182 and ISO EN 1716; meet to the standards.

Class AFL2: According to EN ISO 1182EN ISO 1716 and EN ISO 9239-1; meet to the standards.

Class BFLCFLDFL: According to EN ISO 9239-1EN ISO 11925-2; meet to the standards.

Class EFL: According to EN ISO 11925-2; meet to the standards.

Class FFL: According to EN ISO 11925-2; meet to the standards.

 

3.3 Classes of reaction to fire performance for linear pipe thermal insulation products.

Class AL1: According to EN ISO 1182 and ISO EN 1716; meet to the standards.

Class AL2: According to EN ISO 1182EN ISO 1716 and EN ISO 13823; meet to the standards.

Class BLCLDL: According to ISO EN 13823EN ISO 11925-2; meet to the standards.

Class EL: According to EN ISO 11925-2; meet to the standards.

Class FL: According to EN ISO 11925-2; fail to the standards.

EN 13501-1 is similar with GB 8624:2006
