ISO13785-2 大尺寸防火測試標準適用範圍
This part of ISO 13785 specifies a screening method for determining the reaction to fire performance of products and construction of facades or claddings when exposed to heat from a simulated external fire with flames impinging directly upon a facade. It is intended for use by producers to reduce the burden of testing in Part 2 of ISO 13782 by eliminating those systems that fail the tests described in this part of ISO 13785.
This test method is applicable only to facades and claddings that are not free standing and that are used as an addition to an existing external wall.
This test method also is only applicable to vertical elements and is not applicable to determining the structural strength of the facade or cladding.
ISO 13785-2 & BS 8414
Large-scale fire tests are designed to replicate the real-world cladding fire performance. The full-scale tests are carried out following the ISO 13785-2: Reaction-to-fire tests (International Organization for Standardization 2002) or the BS 8414: Fire performance of external cladding systems (British Standard Institute 2015). The AS 5113was developed by Australia for fire propagation testing and classification of external building walls based on the ISO 13785-2 and BS 8414. The details of large-scale fire tests are summarized in Table 5. Even though the procedures followed in both standards are similar, the temperature of the test material, cavity and insulation are the main focus of the ISO 13785-2 standard. In the ISO 13785-2 standard, the maximum temperature criterion is measured at 4 m from the fire source while this distance is 5 m for the BS 8414. To illustrate the interpretation of the test results from large-scale fire tests, the response of an aluminium composite panels (ACP) with different core and insulation materials is compared against the specified performance criteria in Table 6. In accordance with the wall temperature criteria, the ACP with PE core cladding system fails and ACP with mineral core passes the large-scale fire test.
