WS-wiring system(接线系统)，
第二个数字代表着耐火时间：5代表120分钟耐火试验。

AS/NZS 3013 is a classification system which defines the performance of a Wiring System (WS). The classification
system prefix is 'WS' followed by two numerals and cables are subjected to fire at 1050°C from 15mins to 120mins meanwhile Impact Test from 2.5J to 5000J and Cutting Test from 0.3kN to 5.0kN about the level of protection range from light duty to extremely duty.
即，WS52W 额定电缆将具有以下特性；

耐火及水喷淋测试
电缆放在电缆架上，然后悬吊在一个混凝土楼板下面，面对火源燃烧120分钟。在此过程中，电缆是通电的，需要监测电路的回路通畅与否。紧接着，样板又会安装到喷淋设备上，喷水3分钟，也需要监测电路是否通畅。
冲击切割测试
电缆被设定在三种不同的温度环境下进行撞击测试，需要监控电路是否通畅。使用专用刀具进行逐步加压切割测试，记录切断电路的最大力量。
